All you guys out there will probably start thinking that this is the greatest thing ever: women who have fantasies about having sex with other women! You’ve been suggesting this for years, no doubt, but you will probably be surprised and disappointed to discover that most of the women in Friday’s book Women on Top don’t have lesbian fantasies that directly or indirectly involve men (i.e. you and two girls are having sex or you are just watching two girls have sex who are, naturally, doing this all for your benefit).

Many of the women that have had their fantasies published in Friday’s collection admit they are heterosexual women who are simply curious or desire the tenderness of a woman’s touch. Others are more aggressive and express the desire to be “fucked” by a woman. Friday explains that lesbian fantasies among women can be seen as “an expression of affection, curiosity, and exploration, while the same fantasies arouse enormous dread and anxiety in men.”

One woman writes: “Our bodies slowly draw together until I am overwhelmed by her scent…I slide my right hand toward her crotch and playfully toy with the opening of her front-slit skirt…As my finger loses itself in her wetness, my own excitement becomes undeniable and I feel an insistent pulsation in my cunt.”

Voyeuristic fantasies
This category of fantasies includes women who want to be watched as well as women who like watching. Some report the desire to watch a man masturbate. For example, one woman imagines finding a man in a library reading an adult magazine and masturbating. She watches and gets so sexually aroused that she in turn must masturbate as well. Another woman goes to see a porn movie with a guy she has met at a bar. She sits behind another man in the theater and leans forward to watch as he unzips his pants and masturbates while watching the close-up penetration shots on the big screen. Other woman like to tell tales of being watched, deliberately wearing little to no clothing in their fantasies so that they ensure they will be noticed. Forgetting about the other people in the room, she climbs on top of him and has loud sex with him, only to realize that the others in the room are not only watching but masturbating from arousal.

Strange Animal Desires
Oddly enough, the same collection of fantasies indicates that there are many women who fantasize about having sex with animals, most often dogs, but not always. As bizarre as this may seem, a woman writes in about her desire, at least in her sexual dreams, of having sex with an ape. Because his member is so large, she has to be well-lubricated to accommodate it. Part of this fantasy includes being monitored by scientists—it seems that having sex with an ape is part of doing the scientific world a great service—and a large part of the excitement for this woman involves being watched by a room full of people.

This fantasy reveals the need to be dominated, watched and participating in the otherwise forbidden: “He rams his cock into my pussy and I cry out with surprise…The camera is running out of film and the men are reloading a second and third camera in case we will be fucking several hours.”

In other sexual fantasies, women admit to desiring to have specific "intimate experiences" with dogs, often by accident. The dog sniffs or licks their crotch and the rest, as they say, is history. These fantasies tend to focus on the dog’s ability to keep going until the woman reaches endless orgasms.

Men having sex with other men
A small proportion of women in this book detail the desire to watch two men have sex together. While this might not be representative of every woman’s desires (i.e. there are probably a lot more women who are interested in watching two men together, men just don’t like to admit it), they are interesting fantasies nonetheless.

One woman, for instance, has a fantasy about having a sex party at her house, where everyone is naked and having sex. Her fantasy reveals a man having anal sex with another, followed by another man getting a blow job from the same man. Watching this happen turns her on and she uses this fantasy to masturbate herself to orgasm. Another woman envisions two men meeting in a gay bar where they do not attempt to hide their attraction for each other. Instead, with bulging pants, they go to the bathroom and have sex.

This is not, by any means, an exhaustive list of women’s fantasies as is explained by Nancy Friday in her book, Women on Top. There are many more, some more specific than others. Talk to your girlfriend about her sexual fantasies to see what she is interested in. If she gets embarrassed and won’t tell you, leave a copy of Friday’s book under the pillow.
