Wow. The proplem is so obvious. You two need to spend more recreational time together. When you fell in love you did this. Tell her how you are feeling. Remind her of the time you two used to spend together. Tell her that it's important to you that she start coming along again on your fishing trips. If she really doesn't want to then find something fun that you two would enjoy together. The trick to staying in love is having fun time together. Don't divorce. You will keep having the same problems with anyone else if you don't address them.

Re: Your commute to work, I feel for you. (Honest) For years I did the same thing, an hour each way...it gets to be a drag. I had a bit of a break though, going to work I'd go I-40, (faster) but coming home I'd take an old highway which didn't have much traffic. I had to go through several little towns which slowed me down some but that was okay because the drive home gave me time to unwind. If I didn't have that time to unwind before I got home I'd still be stressing when I came through the front door. I now work ten minutes from home! Don't have to worry about traffic--I don't make as much money as I did on the other job but I don't miss the money and I damn sure don't miss the two hour commute. I'm kind of a workaholic so every now and then I think about "going back to work" (the job I have now seems like childs play) but what keeps stopping me is the commute...I just don't think I'm ready to tackle that again. Having people cutting in and out of traffic, trying to run ya off the road, or poking along like some old granddaddy, cutting in front of ya--kinda makes ya want to get a "hummer" and see just who in the hell wants to get in your way then! So, believe me, I can relate.

I didn't hear the interview, but it is a pretty logical approach to a lot of problems. Thinning the herd, I call it. Weed out the stupid so the species can thrive. But consider this, by ridding the world of half of the stupid, inconsiderate, obnoxious guys would we be making the ones left alive more valuable to the ladies that seem to gravitate towards losers? Enough philosophy, I don't care about looking better to women, just shortening my ride to work.

I think Brian was listening to the Kid Rock interview last what...Friday? I forget which show he was on, Wolf Blitzer or some conservative show like that. Anyway, the interviewer apparently asked K-R what he thought of the recent Supreme Court decision which struck down a same-sex anti-sodomy law. (note, I'm getting this 3rd hand from a couple of DJs talking about it this AM)

Apparently K-R's take on it was something like "Great! Let the gay guys be gay, the more the better. That leaves more women for us straight guys!"

I have to say, K-R may be onto something there - and similarly maybe Brian too? I've said it before, the stupider, more inconsiderate, self-centered, {insert favorite negative trait(s) here}, other guys act, the better it is for the rest of us! It isn't hard to shine/stand-out when other guys set the bar so low.
